  1. Get a proper sleep the night before, sleep is gold!

  2. Rise early, set your alarm at least an hour before anyone else is up (especially the kids!) 5/5.30 is a great time to be up, you may catch the sunrise which is always a beautiful way to start the day but just as importantly less people are awake at that time and its a great time to shower and meditate without the noise in the world!

  3. When you open your eyes, say THANK YOU and 'Today I choose to enjoy'! Say it in your head, out loud whatever you feel to but say it, announce it to the universe! (even if you feel crap, especially if you wake up feeling crap!)... trust me it will set the tune for your day and thats what youre aiming for! And when you step out of bed and your feet hit the floor say thank you again, (get in the habit of saying it at least 3 times before you go to the bathroom, it will start to change your morning outlook).

  4. Shower - water is great for re-setting your aura and cleansing your energy field, and why not turn the water to cold for the last 30 seconds (building up to 2mins!) its a great way to re-set and start the day off feeling alive!

  5. Meditate - 15 minutes, no excuses, no interruptions - 15 mins just for you, and your soul

  6. Read some of your affirmations out loud (from your affirmation board!see other blog post :-)

  7. Stand outside on the grass and ground your self, in your mind, place your attention on your feet and imagine beautiful strong roots sprouting from the underneath of your feet and winding their way gently down down down into the earth, until they reach the centre where they gently anchor into the centre of earth, know you are rooted for the day and centred!

  8. Move your body - do some brief yoga, go for a run, power walk, Hiit Workout, Kitchen Dance whatever it is that's your jam but do something to get the energy flowing through your body! (Download something off you tube if you like - I love 'yoga with Adrienne'!)

  9. Stay in the moment - keeping our thoughts too much in the past can make us feel sad, keeping our thoughts too much in the future can make us feel anxious, but keeping them in the present moment, thats where we have control, and we can choose to feel good, notice what's around you, stay in the moment and breathe and know all is well right in this moment.

  10. Make an intention to observe your thoughts throughout the day - notice what youre thinking and how it makes you feel - ask yourself is what I'm thinking making me feel good ? If not change it! Take notice of how you feel generally during the day too, if you feel bad notice what you're doing, where you are and who you're with and if possible, do less of that! Choose what makes you feel good! Wishing you a beautiful day! x
